Climate change is increasingly threatening human society,
with extreme weather events now occurring three times more often than 50 years ago.
Typhoons, floods, and other disasters have disrupted production, damaged infrastructure,
and increased vulnerability for our workforce.
Sun Hing makes meaningful change
In response, Sun Hing are committed to reducing our environmental impact.
Guided by the Paris Agreement’s goal to limit global warming to 1.5°C,
we focus on cutting greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, conserving resources, and minimizing waste.
Since 2015, we’ve reduced GHG emissions by 19%, driven by renewable energy use, energy efficiency, and sustainable practices.
We aim for a 31% reduction by 2030, with a long-term goal of carbon neutrality. Together with our partners, we are building a resilient and sustainable future to address the challenges of climate change.

To minimize the production of non-hazardous waste, we adhere to the 3R principles: reduce, reuse, and recycle. Excess materials from production are either reused in subsequent cycles or collected for recycling by an external service provider for alternative uses.


We also prioritize accurate forecasting of raw material needs before placing orders to avoid unnecessary consumption. All waste generated during production is sent to certified recyclers equipped with advanced recycling technology, helping reduce environmental impact and the pressure on landfills.
Additionally, all paper waste is responsibly recycled through a trusted external provider.
We actively encourage customers to choose papers from sustainable forestry, such as those certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). Since obtaining FSC Chain-of-Custody certification in 2010, we have consistently promoted environmentally friendly practices by offering FSC-certified paper and advocating for sustainable sourcing.
This commitment helps mitigate the environmental impacts of the paper industry and discourages deforestation caused by improper logging.
